Bio:

Elymbar is a foul-mouthed male elf, who claims he is a mercenary Arcane Archer from Greyhawk. He has stated that he joined the expedition to recover Master Gilnaeus in order to pay off ruinous gambling debts he owes to certain unnamed parties in the former Great Kingdom.

The truth is that Elymbar is a cover identity of a certain half-elf, real name undisclosed, who is on the run from a powerful [insert corrupt kingdom here] slaving ring that he helped to cripple. The surviving members of the ring had considerable influence with the decadent government of the [corrupt kingdom] as well as the church of [Hextor, or some other evil deity that would support slavery?], and sought vengeance upon Elymbar and his allies.

After a very close call with Church-sponsored assassins that saw several friends and many innocent bystanders killed, Elymbar departed his adopted homeland in disguise. He fears that he will always be looking over his shoulder, as the price on his head is reputedly very high. Perhaps now is the time to take up the wandering life, travel the Flanaess and other planes of existence, and prevent any further loss of innocent life.
