Monster Races: Feats & Skills
Feats
Monster Race entries in the SRD provide a listing of feats for the given monster. When creating a Monster Race character, you have the capability to switch any of these feats out and replace them with any valid feat during the creation process. Once the character is ’live. the feat selection is subject to the Core governing rules of the campaign.
Example
A Yeti has 3 feats on the SRD site. These feats are Cleave, Great Fortitude, and Power Attack. Because I want to make my Yeti has extra thick skin, I would like to add Toughness instead of Great Fortitude. I am able to swap these out and proceed with Power Attack, Cleave, and Toughness.
Feat Coherence
All feats selected including monster feats must agree to all Core rules. This means Cleave can only be taken after Power Attack, Dodge requires a Dexterity, etc
Monster Races receive the same number of feats listed in their SRD entry, however during creation these can be swapped with any valid feat.
Skills
Monster Races receive the same class skills listed in their SRD entry for their type and subtype. Skill point may be allocated as desired during creation
Monster Race entries in the SRD provide a listing of skills for the given monster. Usually these are determined by the type and subtype of a Monster Race. When creating a Monster Race character, you have the capability to switch any of these skill points and reallocate them as you see fit. The same rules still apply for class/racial skills and non-class/racial skill. Once the character is ’live. the feat selection is subject to the Core governing rules of the campaign.
