As a girl, Luthanis worked in the orphanage helping to clean and care for the children. However, her heart and devotion to Pelor were too strong to keep her only doing that. Eventually, she began serving in the Temple of Light however she could. Her piety caught the attention of Justineous, and she was asked to enter into full time religious work. She left behind the trappings of a servant of orphans and became a servant of gods.
At first, she spent most of her time doing educational tasks, teaching the young citizens of Greyhawk all about the goodness of Pelor. But despite her love of children, she found her passion rising when she described all the evils of the world. She told Justineous she would like to volunteer to do expeditions and serve on the front lines. After two months of making her request every day, Justineous finally agreed and said, “I grant your wish for the sake of your happiness, be it ever so brief.” She was assigned to aid a party of adventurers who were seeking to slay the mighty Moltantacious.
