Lucious was well-liked by all and good-natured, but growing up on a farm in the small village of Grammond, he always longed to see the wide world, and he felt he never had a chance. But when he heard the sermons of the Heironean cleric Allister Tain, he couldn’t help but wish that he too were fighting evil and using his strength for good. But he had to gather some hay.
Later on, however, the same cleric revisited their town and the adventuring party had slain the troll that had been terrorizing the region. Lucious knew his time had come. He asked to join the party and began to follow the ways of Heironeous, dedicating his life to his goal of protecting others, doing good, and deterring and destroying evil. Perhaps there was more to his good nature than the simple ability to get along with others in his small town.
